Jordan Laney, PhD RYT 200 is a writer, gardener, and educator grateful to share yoga throughout rural areas, especially central and southern Appalachia. A lifelong student, she completed her first yoga training in 2018 and has continued training since. With a doctorate in cultural theory, Jordan blends academic insight and holistic knowledge, offering classes that integrate the mind and body with artistic and cultural exploration. Understanding yoga to be the never-ending practice of attuning the heart and mind towards love, Jordan returns to yoga again and again to find her voice, build physical resiliency, and embrace joy in community. As a trauma informed instructor, it is important to Jordan that she meets each student where they are, and that everyone has access to these tools in a kind and non-judgemental environment.
