BHakti Vinyasa
Bhakti Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic, soulful, and devotional yoga practice that fuses the principles of Hatha yoga, (the union of body, breath, and movement) and the qualities of Bhakti yoga (gratitude, open-heartedness, humility, compassion, and devotion).
In this movement based practice we’ll learn more about the why behind how this yoga works, by exploring the physical asanas (postures), the myths and mudras that live inside them, and the energy they create. We’ll be diving deep into the essence of the yoga and how we can move toward finding more balance and unity in our own lives.
Hatha Yoga
Known for its long, static holds in dynamic postures to build muscle and body awareness, while also being kind to the joints. The word “Hatha” means balance, it’s about connecting your body and mind through gentle movement and breath. It is very common to use breathing techniques (pranayama) and guided meditation to delve further into the practice. Spending 5-10 breaths in most postures, with an emphasis on alignment and steadiness of breath and mind. This class is for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
